Courtney M. Bisson, MD

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Bisson grew up in Oklahoma City. She attended Bishop McGuinness high school followed by Texas Christian University where she graduated magna cum laude with an honors degree and a major in biology with double minors in chemistry and Spanish. She was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She then returned to Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine where she was invited to join the Gold Humanism Society and elected into Alpha Omega Alpha.

She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Oklahoma. During her time in residency, she held multiple leadership roles in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and within the University of Oklahoma including serving as the Chair of the Resident Council. She was also elected as Administrative Chief Resident.  She then did a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

During her time in fellowship she continued to cultivate her passion for advocacy and enhance her public health skills by obtaining a masters degree at the University of Chicago in addition to her clinical responsibilities. She was also actively involved
in research which resulted in multiple first author publications focusing on health disparities and the improvement of pregnancy and postpartum hypertension. This involvement culminated in both national and international presentations.

Given her desire to be involved in public health and her ties to the Oklahoma community, she was fortunate enough to return to the state of Oklahoma and join the Perinatal Center. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends – especially her niece Ellis.
