Kate SmallGenetic Counselor, MS, LGC, CGC
Kate is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she obtained a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling. As a board-certified and licensed genetic counselor, she helps patients understand and adapt to the medical, psychological, and familial implications of genetic conditions as well as facilitates informed decision-making regarding genetic screening and testing. Kate has served as a pediatric and cancer genetic counselor in multiple states including Colorado and South Dakota. She volunteers as a Genetic Expert Outreach Leader with the local FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered) support group. She is an avid reader, amateur baker, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. They love going to the OKC zoo when they can! Kate joined The Perinatal Center, PLLC in January 2020 specializing in prenatal genetic counseling.
